NHS 111 Wales (option 2) is the best route if you or a loved one needs urgent mental health support. In a life-threatening emergency, always dial 999.

NHS 111 Wales (option 2) is staffed locally 24/7 by Hywel Dda Mental Health professions, who can provide support, advice, and can refer onwards if required to all our mental health services.

Between 8.00 am and 8.00 pm, if you walk into the Minor Injury Unit at Prince Philip Hospital and need urgent mental health support, there will be a quiet area where you can call the service and have an urgent Mental Health assessment in the unit if needed.

Outside of these hours, please dial NHS 111 (option 2) as there may be different routes of support depending on your circumstances.
People who need an urgent assessment overnight will be directed to attend at Glangwili Hospital, Carmarthen.
