What Does The Project Do?

Our Welcome Centre in Llanelli offers a safe and welcoming environment that provides an excellent range of support and advice services, including one to one support, group activities, counselling and emotional well-being courses for those experiencing mental ill health.

The service is to enable confidence and independence, reduce the feeling of isolation, and encourage resilience and recovery wherever possible through structured intervention.

The service is to enable confidence and independence, reduce the feeling of isolation, and encourage resilience and recovery where possible. The Day Opportunities project provides a service which supports the needs of those in, at the risk of, or at the point of a social/emotional crisis

Llanelli Mind is a therapeutic service with a varied programme of activities, structured workshops and interventions that can be accessed by those who have been assessed.

We have a passionate, friendly and committed team who strive to support and improve the mental well- being of those who attend the Welcome Centre.

Day Opportunities (Welcome Centre)

Who is eligible for the project?

Anyone over the age of 11 can access our day opportunities project at our Welcome Centre; we offer dedicated Children and Young Person’s drop in sessions and activities as well as inter-generational, and adult only activities, sessions and structured workshops.

When does the project run?

Our office hours are Monday to Friday 10:00 – 17:00, however the project has a varied programme including drop-ins and late night sessions. Our most up to date programme can be accessed via our social media pages, via email, or on site. Our programme includes activities being run until 21:00 every Monday and Friday, as well as being open 11:00 – 17:30 on Sundays.

How do you access the project?

The project and services can be accessed through a professional referral (health and social care agencies, police, GP’s and other third sector organisations) or you could self-refer. Referrals should be sent to referrals@llanelli-mind.org.uk
