Volunteer with us
Llanelli Mind encourages those with lived experience and an interest in supporting those with mental ill health to volunteer with us; we have a wide range of volunteering opportunities ranging from facilitating support groups and workshops, to peer to peer support, administration, counselling and even fundraising.
Meet some of our volunteers:
Mandy – Reception & Administration Volunteer:
“I wanted to volunteer as I had spare time and wanted to give back to local communities and to fulfil one of my own personal goals. I am new to this volunteering role and volunteer on reception, meeting and greeting thise that attend. I live in Swansea and have one daughter. I like reading, walking and helping people”
Matthew – Peer Support Volunteer:
“I’ve been a volunteer for Llanelli Mind for approximately 3 years. The reason I became a volunteer is because I wanted to support local people across our community by educating the importance of how to look after their mental health and wellbeing. Outside of volunteering most of my time is taken up looking after my three daughters and playing both tennis and cricket”
Adam – CYP Volunteer:
“I’ve been volunteering with Llanelli Mind since 2022, starting with the Children and Young People’s project EVOLVE. I was one of the first to start volunteering for the project and we have worked with some brilliant young people with lots of amazing activities including gardening, wellbeing walks, and cooking, fundraising and social events. I’ll never forget how volunteering has changed my life”.
Do you have the time to help those in need?
