With a team of professional and experienced counsellors working from our dedicated counselling building in the heart of Llanelli, Llanelli Mind has provided counselling services across southwest Wales for over a decade. Fully insured and members of a professional body whose code of ethics is embedded into the core of our work we offer counselling both in person and digitally to all of our clients and are proud to say we are here to listen.

About this service
Our young persons service offers open access counselling for those aged 11-18 years of age.
Provided by fully qualified and experienced counsellors who have a training background in working with young people the service delivers from our counselling building based in Thomas street Llanelli on designated young person only days.
To access the service please use the Young Persons Counselling Service Referral Form.
Current wait times are 1-2 weeks and the cost is £40 per session.

Our young person’s service is offered on an open access self-referral basis for those 16 and over, or by parent, Guardian or Carer for those under the age of 16 via the referrals form below:

Waiting times
We are always asked “how long will I wait?” This is difficult to predict as it is dependent on referral numbers however current wait times are approximately:
- 1-2 weeks.
We may also offer you additional support whilst you wait.
Session information
Young persons sessions take place on designated young person’s service days only
For clients under the age of 16 we request that parents remain in the building in our waiting area. As the young person is the client, parents or guardians are not able to be in the counselling room during sessions.
