Llanelli Mind’s Board of Trustees is responsible for our governance and strategic direction. The Board is accountable for everything we do. They:
- Set our strategic direction
- Scrutinise our performance
- Support our Senior Management Team

The Trustee Board of Llanelli Mind meet bi-monthly and as often as once a month when needed. The meetings are held at the Llanelli Mind Welcome Centre, 26 – 28 Inkerman Street; and participation can also be made possible virtually, occasionally additional meetings may be held at alternative venues. Refreshments are available, and mileage expenses reimbursed.
Before applying, you need to consider the requirement for regular attendance at the meetings of the Board and for additional business, as well as the time needed for thorough preparation beforehand.
Papers are ideally sent in advance of the meeting. Papers or business tabled on the day may be permitted in exceptional circumstances.
In addition you will be asked to attend:
- Induction to the organisation
- Training
- Task and finish groups as needed
Applicants for Trustee vacancies who have skills and experience required by the Board and who fit the current profile of skills, experience and /or equality and diversity gaps will be invited to an interview with us. This will be an opportunity to discuss in more detail the Trustee role within the organisation. If appointed the term of office is 1 year, and is appointed by being voted on at the AGM annually.
Trustees play a vital role in ensuring that Llanelli Mind continues to deliver much needed services to people experiencing mental ill health and wellbeing issues.
